The Royal Lodge is a landmark building for 99 East, located at the highest point of the site within the rainforest, enjoying panoramic filtered sea views over the secluded royal gardens. Designed by Andy Miller of Hamiltons International, The Lodge is to be a contemporary residence for the His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah and his family, constructed of the highest quality materials and offering the finest finishes, including stone, marble and salvaged timber.

The linear building is afforded 360 degree local and district views. Glass walls and facades bring the sounds and sights of the forest into every living space. The low-scale building appears to float above the ground and is designed to blend into the topography by stepping down the slope in a series of platforms, with grass terraces merging the interior with exterior of the building.
